About Us
Dr. Gomes is a Washington State Licensed Psychologist. He has a PhD in Clinical
Psychology, a Masters in Human Relations (MHR) and a Masters in Psychology with
a Marriage, Family and Child Counseling emphasis. He has taught college level
courses in Marriage and Family, General Psychology, and Leadership at the Air Force
Academy before retiring from the US Air Force. In addition, he has taught graduate
level marriage and family therapy courses at the Leadership Institute of Seattle
(LIOS).
Lissa is a practicum student of mental health therapy focusing on sex and
relationships. When asked why she decided to become a Sex and Relationship
Therapist she confidently responded, “To accompany client(s) on their journey
to discover both the integrity and the freedom they possess in the choices they
make in their sexual expressions as individuals and in relationships.”
She has completed two Residencies, professional training in Human Sexuality
and Group Counseling & Psychotherapy including over 20 hours in group
counseling interaction.
Her professional affiliations include the American Counseling Association
(ACA), the Counseling Association of Humanistic Education and Development
(C-AHEAD), the Association for Gay, Lesbian and Bisexual Issues in
Counseling (ALGBTIC), Association of Multicultural Counseling and
Development (AMCD), and the American Association of Sex Educators,
Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
